About The Position

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT Instructional Assistant - 10 month Full-time Starting Salary is $16 per hour Comprehensive benefits package at no additional cost to the employees SCHOOL DESCRIPTION West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School is an inner city Arts and Technology K-5 Elementary School . Requirements

2 + years working with children
60+ college credits in education or related field
Must be able to obtain or currently have all background clearances (Federal, PA State, & Child Abuse). In the event that the need arises, you will need to be able to: l ift, pull or push up to 15 lbs, w alk a standard flight of stairs, or s tand or sit for up to 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

Supporting classroom teacher
Working with small groups of students
Supporting lunch and recess
Covering classes in teacher's absence
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, supportive staff, parents, and students
Supports students virtually and in-person
