The Department of Management & Leadership in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston welcomes applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, promotion-eligible Instructional Assistant positions, starting Fall 2026. Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, service to the department and the college, and participation in the academic life of the department and college. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching international business, sports management, and management principles in all modalities. Preferred candidates will also have a record of teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate classes, particularly in large section (200+) asynchronous online classes. Candidates with experience and expertise in online teaching who can demonstrate teaching innovativeness are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will also have experience guiding students in experiential learning opportunities, especially mentoring students in consulting projects. Candidates will be expected to take a multidisciplinary approach to the courses they teach, including the global political, economic and cultural environments in introductory classes as well as in advanced electives and specialty classes. Candidates should have prior administrative experience and demonstrate a willingness to serve the department in an administrative capacity. Candidates should also have a demonstrated record of academically qualified activities as defined by the AACSB. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Management, International Business, Policy or related business disciplines with experience in teaching at a Tier-1 research university are preferred. Multilingual candidates will be strongly considered, as will candidates who are willing to participate as faculty advisors in the college's study abroad programs and in the Stimulating Urban Renewal through Entrepreneurship program (SURE).
