About The Position

In anticipation of a possible opening, the Department of History at Illinois State University is creating a pool of applicants who can teach in-person U.S., European, or non-Western history. The History Department serves approximately 500 majors and is composed of approximately 25 TT and NTT faculty. The typical class size ranges from 20 to 88 students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in History
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work in the U.S. without ISU sponsorship. Sponsorship for work authorization will not be considered for this position.
