About The Position

Position Title: Instructional Assistant Paraprofessional Effective Date: December 12, 2025 Hours: 6.0 hours per day (Approx. 8:45 am - 3:15 pm) 5 days per week 180 days per year Required Education: High School Diploma 60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam Preferred Experience: Successful experiences working with elementary age students, in an educational setting preferred. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff, including principal, to assist students with academic, behavioral, and social/emotional supports.

  • 60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff, including principal, to assist students with academic, behavioral, and social/emotional supports.
  • Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically
  • Monitor student's skills of independence and implementation of classroom or individual behavior expectations
  • Assist with transitions in/out of the building and recess coverage
