The College of Engineering at the University of Houston invites applications for a non-tenure- track (NTT) faculty in the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor or Instructional Associate Professor to potentially begin in the January 2026, or the start of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Successful applicants will join the First Year Experience (FYE) faculty team, whose main role is two-fold: (i) teaching the common first-year curriculum in the Cullen College, and (ii) contribute to the various student success initiatives in the college, which include the Program for Mastery of Engineering Studies (PROMES), the Honors Engineering Program (HEP), and the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges Scholars Program (NAE-GCSP). This faculty team works closely with the college's academic advisors, our various student organizations, and with faculty in many departments with the goal of equipping our students for success in their full academic journey. It is a very high priority for the college to provide a positive and supportive environment where students are enabled to succeed academically while gaining an understanding of the engineering profession and its disciplines, and our instructional faculty play a key role in this enterprise.
