About The Position

Directly responsible to a classroom teacher and the program supervisor. Provide individual/small group instruction as planned by the teacher.

Requirements

• Must be energetic, able to multi-task, have patience, and positive disposition.
• Enjoy working with elementary aged children but be able to assist students with all grade level academic lessons and assignments.
• 60 college credit hours or Para Pro Certificate.
• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with persons with special needs is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide individual/small group instruction as planned by the teacher.
• Assist in teaching a diverse population of children in an atmosphere of kindness that encourages active inquiry, fosters individual growth and promotes respect for self, others and the world in which they live.
• Participate in pre-service and regular In-Service training.
• Provide individual/small group instruction as planned by the teacher.
