About The Position
Instructional Aide 2025-2026 E2 Summer Program Gilbert Linkous Elementary School Blacksburg, VA Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a Summer E2 Instructional Aide position that is available at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School in Blacksburg, VA. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Summer E2 Instructional Aide assists the E2 program coordinator by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities. The aide works a flexible schedule in the summer months. The hours of our summer program are from 8:00 am - 5:00 PM. The summer program runs for 8 weeks on Monday through Friday from June 1 - July 24. The position allows the aide to work up to 29 hours per week.
Requirements
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength
- Ability to cooperate with other staff members
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Dependability and punctuality required
- Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality
- Ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations
- Have the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20+ lbs.) as needed
- Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary
