About The Position

Join the Bethany Team! The Instructional Aide is responsible for providing academic support to individual students or small groups of students to help them succeed. Assists the teacher in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. The Bethany Community School is an elementary school, grades PK to 6, located in central Bethany on an extensive rural campus.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
Demonstrates ethical, courteous, patient, and professional behavior in working with the administration, staff, students, and families.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong skills and concepts in all academic areas.

Nice To Haves

Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education is preferred.
Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is preferred.
Experience working with children is preferred.
