About The Position

The Institutional Research Data Analyst at Arapahoe Community College plays a crucial role in analyzing data to support decision-making processes that enhance student success and institutional effectiveness. This position involves conducting both qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights related to enrollment trends, retention patterns, and graduation outcomes, ultimately contributing to the college's mission of serving its students and community effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in data management, including data extraction, storage, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, R, or Python for data analysis and visualization.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in a higher education setting.
  • Master's degree in math/statistics, computer programming, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, administering, and analyzing surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Use programming logic to write queries and develop reports using business intelligence tools, currently COGNOS.
  • Design reports that present accurate, consistent data in a clear and compelling manner to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate data collection for various surveys and institutional data requests from external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Compile and report institutional data requested by external agencies such as IPEDS and the College Board.
