Department Overview Our institutional advisors offer expertise in capital markets, conduct detailed market research and due diligence, source off-market opportunities, and provide valuation and strategic planning to meet the specific needs of their institutional clients. We deliver customized strategic guidance and services to large-scale investors like pension funds, REITs, and private equity firms for acquiring, financing, and disposing of significant real estate assets. We focus primarily on debt and partner with our Equity & Structured Finance experts to source equity. We go beyond the economics of a deal to achieve your goals, offering insight-driven advisory that aligns with your risk-return profile, investment thesis, and long-term portfolio strategy. The Impact You Will Have The Institutional Advisory Practice is seeking to hire a collaborative and driven Analyst responsible for financial analysis and market research related to the financing of properties in primary and secondary markets across the country. The Analyst will primarily assist in sizing and underwriting commercial real estate assets, gathering and organizing due diligence, and interfacing with both internal producers and external clients to successfully procure financing for acquisition, development, and refinance transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance and/or Real Estate concentration preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred
  • Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel, and ARGUS a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word, ability to learn Salesforce and other company software as needed
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately and productively handle multiple tasks during time sensitive situations
  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing/preparing cash flow models using Excel and calculating investment returns
  • Performing market research and financial due diligence
  • Writing, preparing, and assembling Investment Memoranda
  • Maintaining transaction records and contact database
  • Assisting in the identification and pursuit of business leads
  • Perform other duties as assigned
