An equipment installer, also known as an installation technician or equipment technician, is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various types of equipment in different settings.
Install and bend EMT conduit to code using hand benders and power tools
Ensure proper labeling, routing, and dressing of cables for clean and professional outcomes.
Set up and configure equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Conduct tests to verify that installed equipment is operating correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Assist with pulling, terminating, and testing structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a/fiber).
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment, including replacing faulty parts and components.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting any changes made to equipment configurations.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while installing and servicing equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining equipment functionality, and offering technical support as needed.
Coordinate with other team members, such as engineers, project managers, and sales staff, to ensure smooth installations and customer satisfaction.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is typically required.
Associate's degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.

At least Three (3) years of professional work experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.
Experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
Additional technical training or vocational certificates in relevant fields may be beneficial.
