About The Position

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M’s) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington DC Metro areas. H&M is seeking several energetic, career minded individuals to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office. While working under the direction of a team lead or Foreman, the ideal candidate for the Installer position will possess 1-3 years’ experience in structured cabling and promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

1-3 years of structured cabling experience required.
Demonstrated ability to exhibit a positive attitude and be a team player.
Ability to meet deadlines, listen and follow instructions.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary tasks while on the ladder.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs.
Must have own tools.
Occasional overtime and out of town travel may be required.
Ability to travel to multiple locations in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Nice To Haves

Data Center Experience a plus.
Industry Certifications a plus. (i.e. CommScope, Hilti, Panduit, etc.)

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for assisting in multiple aspects of cable installation including pathways, rough-in, closet build-out, cable terminations, labeling, grounding, trouble-shooting and testing.
Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of quality and efficiency.
Embrace H&M’s safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.
Assist with basic job site organization and housekeeping.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
