About The Position

Summary: The Installer (Recreation Equipment) is responsible for completing high quality installation services for recreation equipment and systems while performing individually or as a team member. This role always requires adherence to safety standards and effective collaboration. Essential Duties : Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required. Site Preparation (10 %) Assess and prepare the installation site according to project specifications. Ensure all necessary tools and materials are available and in good condition. Installation (60 %) Assemble and install recreation equipment, including Splashpads, Playgrounds, and Mini Golf Courses, following detailed plans and instructions. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations. Quality Assurance (10 %) Conduct thorough inspections of installed equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards. Address any issues or defects promptly and report them to the Field Superintendent or Crew Lead. Work toward continuous quality improvement. Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures. Documentation (5 %) Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including time logs, equipment used, and any issues encountered. Complete and submit required documentation to the Field Superintendent or Crew Lead. Customer Interaction (10 %) Interact professionally with clients and stakeholders on-site, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Provide guidance on the proper use and maintenance of installed equipment. Training and Development (5 %) Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new installation techniques and safety protocols. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to enhance overall performance. Stay current with changing technology, including software and industry specific programs. Expectations: Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Field Superintendent, Crew Lead, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve on-site challenges. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure the safety of the installation site at all times. Travel Requirement: This position requires frequent travel to various project sites, sometimes for extended periods. Overnight and weekend travel may be necessary during the construction season (March-November). Candidates must live within commuting distance of Verona, WI or St. Paul, MN. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Installer (Recreation Equipment) has no supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to review, understand, and interpret construction plans and/or drawings.
  • Basic understanding of standard construction and trade practices (low-voltage electrical, plumbing, concrete work, and excavation).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to identify the cause of a problem and resolve the issue.
  • Ability to type and use a mouse. Basic operations in email and internet navigation.
  • Must Possess a valid Driver's License, safe driving history, and have dependable transportation.
  • Offer contingent on satisfactory findings related to background check to be conducted before start date.

Nice To Haves

  • AA/AS/BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 certification (desired).
