About The Position

We’re looking for Installer I candidates who are ready to roll up their sleeves, hit the road, and help bring our custom builds to life for the best teams and facilities in the U.S. YOUR MISSION As an Installer I, you’re more than a builder — you’re the boots on the ground, turning our vision into reality. You’ll travel coast-to-coast (21+ days per month) with a tight-knit install crew to complete projects that appear on national television, in elite medical centers, and everywhere in between. When you're not traveling, you’ll be in the heart of it all — our Kansas City, KS shop — learning from master fabricators and continuing to sharpen your skills.

Requirements

• A love for working with your hands and learning from experienced builders
• Comfort with traveling frequently and tackling physical, rewarding work
• Familiarity with hand/power tools and basic carpentry or fabrication
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and can-do attitude
• Willingness to work flexible hours — days, nights, weekends
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb, kneel, crawl, and perform physical tasks
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass job-site background checks

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cabinetry, furniture, or casework
• OSHA certifications or install-specific training
• Reading blueprints or shop drawings
• Previous travel or on-site construction work

Responsibilities

• Assist senior installers with custom installations of lockers and medical cabinetry
• Use basic carpentry and fabrication tools to build projects with precision and pride
• Solve problems on the fly and adapt to changing project needs like a pro
• Submit time sheets, expenses, and reports (because even heroes have paperwork)
• Collaborate with our production team to crush deadlines and exceed expectations
• Represent SHIELD with professionalism and a positive, solution-focused mindset
