1. Equipment Installation & Mechanical Assembly · Assemble and install industrial fixtures, crossovers, associate and maintenance platforms, shelving, storage solutions, and other mechanical systems. · Perform mechanical assembly using impact guns, torque wrenches, levels, assorted hand and power tools, and alignment tools. · Verify installations meet technical specifications, quality standards, and manufacturer requirements. · Interpret and apply information from technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly manuals. · Identify incorrectly manufactured or nonconforming components, document issues, and report findings. 2. Safety & Regulatory Compliance · Follow OSHA, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and other applicable safety regulations. · Use proper PPE, always ensuring personal and site safety. · Identify and correct safety hazards before and during installation activities. · Maintain compliance with company safety programs and site-specific requirements. · Complete OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certifications (must have or be willing to obtain). 3. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving · Diagnose assembly or fit-up issues, communicate to engineering and project team leaders, determine and implement corrective actions. · Evaluate constraints in the field and think quickly to resolve unexpected installation challenges. · Apply a structured troubleshooting process for mechanical, alignment, or dimensional challenges. 4. Communication & Team Coordination · Communicate installation status, delays, or issues to supervisors, project managers, and engineers. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other trades, contractors, and facility personnel. · Explain technical details clearly to nontechnical stakeholders when needed. · Adapt to changing project requirements or site conditions. 5. Work Ethic, Reliability & Professionalism · Maintain excellent workmanship, attention to detail, and pride in finished installations. · Work independently on multi-day projects while staying organized and on schedule. · Manage multiple deadlines and support time-sensitive project requirements. · Travel frequently, work overtime, and operate in active manufacturing or distribution facilities. 6. Installation Documentation & Reporting · Complete installation reports, progress updates with pictures, safety documentation, and commissioning documentation. · Maintain accurate job records, measurements, and change-of-conditions notes. · Assist with updating or developing installation procedures as needed.
