Working Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday with some weekends. Summary Responsible for the installation of environmental test chambers including walk-in, drive-in, and custom equipment at the customer’s facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend multiple step instructions (in the English language), short correspondence, and memos.
  • While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Regular use of ladders at elevated heights, harness use as required.
  • The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years college or trade school is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the environmental test chamber industry, preferred.
  • Previous experience brazing/soldering/welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials, preferred.
  • Previous experience installing panel boxes preferred.
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installs custom environmental chambers and their associated components at the customer’s facility.
  • Reads and interprets assembly, refrigeration and electrical prints/drawings.
  • Brazes/solders refrigeration piping.
  • Frequently uses hand, power, and air tools to perform job duties.
  • Travels to and from job sites, as assigned by the Manager.
  • Arrives at the pre-determined job site on the date and time provided by the Service Manager.
  • Requires significant travel to customer sites (approximately 80% travel on average).
  • Makes travel arrangements using company approved travel provider/system.
  • Travel includes but is not limited to: Driving company provided service vehicle, airline travel, rental car, and potentially international travel.
  • Provides daily updates to the manager on the progress of the job.
  • Coordinates and supervises on-site activities when contractors are used to help on large installations.
  • Completes expense reports for all expenditures.
  • Submits Service Reports at the completion of each job; this includes travel hours, labor hours, full details of work performed, if work is completed, and the customer signature.
  • Receives pre-approved systems changes from Engineering.
  • Returns parts from the field.
  • Presents him/herself professionally and acts in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Prepares for the next assignment by researching what must be done to complete the job.
  • Assists production as needed upon request.
  • Cleans and maintains work area, service van, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Completes ongoing safety training.
  • Operates efficiently and effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
