The Installation Technician's role involves preparing, loading, and transporting equipment to customer sites using a company-owned vehicle. Key responsibilities include setting up, testing, and installing various equipment such as vending machines, coolers, shelving, Bevi units, coffee machines, and micro market fixtures. This also entails performing full functionality and quality checks, connecting equipment to electrical, water, and network lines according to safety standards, and assembling micro market fixtures. The technician will also assist with uninstalling outdated equipment, communicate with customers on-site for optimal placement, document installations, maintain a clean work environment, and refurbish equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in equipment installation, delivery, or a related field
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum of five years safe driving experience
  • Able to drive 26ft box truck

Responsibilities

  • Tag and manage assets within Vendsys.
  • Prep, load, and transport equipment to customer sites using a company-owned vehicle.
  • Set up, test, and install vending machines, coolers, shelving, Bevi units, coffee machines, and micro market fixtures.
  • Perform full functionality tests and quality checks on all installed equipment at location.
  • Connect equipment to necessary electrical, water, and network lines following safety and installation standards.
  • Assemble shelving and fixtures for micro markets including kiosks, snack racks, and refrigeration units.
  • Assist with uninstalling and removing outdated or relocated equipment as needed.
  • Communicate with customers on-site to determine optimal equipment placement and address basic questions.
  • Document completed installations and update internal systems with photos, notes, or checklists.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment in the warehouse, vehicle, and job site.
  • Refurbish equipment to be used at future customer locations, as needed.
