About The Position

The Installation Tech installs custom designed residential and commercial storage systems and accessories using a variety of luxury materials. A successful candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, measurements and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Job Highlight: We're located at 1997 Ohio Street, Lisle, IL 60532 The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 7am-4:30pm with flexibility needed. The pay rate for this position is $25-$28 per hour depending on experience. A valid driver's license is required. What We Offer: California Closets has both company-owned and franchise locations. Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with common hand and power tools
  • Prior interior painting experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch

Nice To Haves

  • Trade or vocational school experience desirable
  • Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
  • Utilize company-provided CAD drawings\blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
  • Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
  • Assists in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
  • Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order (tools are provided).
  • Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
  • Maintain safety standards at all time.
  • Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and operating a company-provided vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and priming walls and other surfaces.
  • Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to walls, trim, doors, and additional surfaces throughout daycare facilities.
  • Protect floors, furniture, and fixtures with appropriate coverings prior to painting.
  • Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
