About The Position

Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an on-site Installation Technician – Journeyman in Norfolk, VA to join our team of professionals in support of the U.S. Navy to complete on-site RFID installation at the naval shipyard.

Requirements

High School Diplomaor equivalent required;Bachelor’sdegree preferred
Must haveFive(5) toeight(8)years’ experienceinone of the related fields:RFID, Low Voltage,instrumentation,electrical construction,ormaintenance;Six (6) to ten (10)years’ experiencepreferred
Must be proficientwith power/handtooland ability to climb.
Required to have knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, NFPA 70e, OSHA) andability to read blueprints and drawings.
Must have the ability toeffectivelyinteract/dealwith and supportthe customersand employees.Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must be a United States Citizen.
Must be able to pass a background investigation(minimumT-1/NACI)prior to employmentand beginning work.
Must be eligible for a T-3 (Secret DoD Security Clearance) clearance.

Nice To Haves

Industry related certifications/experiencehighlydesired.
Previousmilitary service experience is a HUGE PLUS.

Responsibilities

Perform custom RFID hardware installations based on SOWs, installation sketches, and installation instructions to includeRFIDReaders, Antennas, Articulating Mounts, Enclosures, GPIO Sensors and Indicators, and all applicable wiring.
Install Strut Channel, Brackets, Mounts, and Enclosures to multiple surfacesincludingconcrete, wood, metal, etc.
InstallWirelessMesh Beacons and Extendersboth inside facilities and outside throughoutthe yard.
Label antennas and all wiring accordingtodrawings.
Maintains tools and equipmentand keepssupplies and parts.
Loads,transport,andunloadsmaterials, tools,equipmentand supplies.
Clerical/administrative duties related to task or project documentation.
Keep tools, vehicles, andworkareas clean and organized.
Perform installation inspections and reporting.
Performs related work as assigned.
