About The Position

The Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and service of residential and light commercial garage doors and related components. This role requires strong technical ability, professionalism when working with customers, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Prior experience installing or repairing garage doors and openers
Experience with residential or light commercial installations
Warehouse or inventory experience
Construction, installation, or building materials industry experience

Responsibilities

Make service calls to customer jobsites or residences to troubleshoot issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions
Install and repair garage doors
Install and program garage door openers and remotes
Adhere to assigned service call schedules and communicate changes with customers and/or the service coordinator
Safely operate and drive a company vehicle to and from jobsites
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained company vehicle
Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and leadership
Assist coworkers as needed to ensure timely job completion
Install or repair windows and/or doors as needed
Work in the warehouse to organize, restock, and receive materials
Perform proper inventory handling, organization, and cycle counts
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices
