Requirements

3+ years of experience in structured cabling, conduit work, or security system installation
Strong hands-on knowledge of Cat6, low-voltage, and telecom infrastructure
Ability to travel 100% of the time (M–Th or M–F depending on project)
Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot onsite
Experience leading helpers or small installation teams
Must provide personal hand tools: snips, scissors, punch tool, cordless drill, etc.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test Cat6, fiber, coax, and low-voltage cabling
Build out cable pathways (conduit, J-hooks, racks, trays) to avoid obstructions
Understand and apply NEC codes for low-voltage installations
Install and mount security cameras, access panels, fire alarm devices, access points, and related hardware
Build and dress server racks, network equipment racks, and structured telecom systems
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics
Lead a small team of 1–3 technicians on job sites
Work independently without direct manager oversight
Ensure each project meets quality and safety standards
