About The Position

The position involves timely and proper inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of customer equipment, ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded and that the company's image as an industry leader in customer service is upheld. The role requires developing and maintaining good customer relations, compliance with company policies and safety guidelines, and performing installation, inspection, and repair of equipment in the field. The technician will work individually or in small teams and may guide and train other Service Technicians. Accurate completion of necessary paperwork associated with field service, repair, and installation is required, along with compliance with operational and communication standards. The position also involves operating a service vehicle and various tools and equipment, following customer-specific requirements and safety guidelines. Occasional domestic overnight travel may be required for training and customer support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to five years of experience in repair and service of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass DOT medical exam and meet applicable driver qualification standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
