PART TIME TEMPORARY Installation Support Technician (Cabling Experience Required)
About The Position
Job Type: Part-Time/TEMPORARY Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Installation Support Technician with experience in cabling and basic IT support tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting network/PC infrastructure, including running CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, drilling and mounting speakers, and installing network components. This position requires working on ladders and providing your own tools. Key Responsibilities: Cabling: Run, terminate, and test CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables according to industry standards. Hardware Installation: Install and configure network and PC type hardware. Drilling and Mounting: Drill and securely mount speakers and other equipment as required. Ladder Work: Safely work on ladders to install and maintain equipment at heights. Basic IT Support: Provide hands-on support for hardware troubleshooting, replacements, and other support tasks as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including cable runs, installations, and troubleshooting steps. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. #EES25 Requirements Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in running CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, and installing network hardware. Tools: Must provide own tools. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on ladders and over head Technical Skills: Basic understanding of network and PC install. Audio experience is helpful. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently. Communication: Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety practices related to working with electrical equipment, ladders, and power tools. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, etc Previous experience in a similar hands-on IT support role.
