Requirements

  • Solid understanding of AC/DC voltage.
  • Must be able to use a multimeter.
  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in technical support, networking, field service, PC repair or related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in repair/maintenance/theory of Digital projection systems and/or other Audio systems, in technical support, networking, field service, PC repair or related field experience.
  • Experienced with audio/video test and calibration and related equipment.
  • Electrical/Electronic understanding/training including troubleshooting skills.
  • Understand AV signal flow and the ability to troubleshoot to find failed component.
  • Ability to provide on-call support when necessary.
  • Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service.
  • Experienced with AV testing and calibration equipment.
  • Excellent communications and customer service skills (verbal, written & analytical).
  • A strong working knowledge of PC hardware & setup.
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting within a windows operating system.
  • Field service and equipment repair.
  • Presentation/teaching skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a high stress, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license that is good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Attend training, travel and work with assigned Professional Services team to meet installation schedules provided by the Implementation team.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to meet the customers’ expectations via telephone or in person.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Evaluation services to engineering for software and hardware changes and the evaluation of new products and designs for the Marketing department.
  • Install, troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, e-mail and infrastructure.
  • Install, repair, and update products and software.
  • Install and document the installation of AV products and related equipment.
  • Supervise third party vendors who support the integration, installation and other deployment activities required to effectively execute installation projects/deployments.
  • Maintain open communication with project management and coordinators to ensure continuity and success in each project.
  • Assist Project Management to identify appropriate equipment, special materials and physical modifications required to complete installations.
  • Complete the equipment installation process according to scripts and schedules provided by the Managed Services Team.
  • Inform project management with continuous updates on progress and issues.
  • Review, Comment and markup all System drawings as needed including but not limited to: Any Christie generated drawings or plans: Display support structures; wiring plans (Power, device to device cable plant, DisplayPort cable Plant for MicroTile systems); Device location drawings; network drawings; and ip schedules.
  • Review the project sales order, Bill of Materials, OA and coordinate with Project Management, Project Coordinator and possibly to ensure the correct quantities have been ordered and are scheduled to be delivered to the site.
  • Attend Internal Review meeting with Sales, Project management and Engineering team all dealer generated AV system and Network drawings.
  • After internal review another design review with dealer or end user as part of the project kickoff process.
  • Review Architectural drawing set including HVAC, Electrical, structural or system support or location; and Millwork elements(shelves, alcoves, niche and cut out dimensions); and finish schedules to identify any conflicts or missing information.
  • Send markup back to Project manager and Christie engineering to update Christie released set.
  • Coordinate any revisions with Christie Project manager and end user or dealer team.
  • Participate in Project kickoff meeting with Christie team (Sales, Project Management, Project Coordinator, Site Supervisors Managers…) and dealer and/or End User stakeholders.
