Holman’s upfitting division has a great opportunity for an Installation Mechanic to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. From custom orders to entire fleets, Holman designs, manufactures, and installs equipment for a wide variety of customers, trades, and industries. We have solutions for service bodies, mechanic bodies, platform bodies, dump bodies, gooseneck bodies, light-duty trucks, and vans. We install ladder racks, partitions, truck mounted welders and generators, floor liners, shelving, cranes, and other electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic equipment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous electrical, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience required
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Understanding of 12V circuits
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Previous experience with hydraulics and welding
  • Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
  • Must be able to work in multiple environments – shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Install new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles
  • Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints
  • Safely mount and connect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
  • Test installed parts prior to final inspection
  • Verify all line items have been completed on the work order
  • Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
