Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman
  • Proven track record in a supervisory or foreman role
  • In-depth knowledge of metalwork, including welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to metalwork and construction
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools specific to metalwork
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of steel/metal railing and fence installation projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Supervise a team of installers and fabricators, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for fabrication and installation.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Manage inventory and order materials and supplies as needed for projects.
  • Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication or installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and team hours worked.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all team members follow safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity on site.
