Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman
Proven track record in a supervisory or foreman role
In-depth knowledge of metalwork, including welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to metalwork and construction
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proficient in using hand and power tools specific to metalwork
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage daily operations of steel/metal railing and fence installation projects.
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
Supervise a team of installers and fabricators, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for fabrication and installation.
Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
Manage inventory and order materials and supplies as needed for projects.
Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication or installation.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and team hours worked.
Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all team members follow safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity on site.
