The Installation Engineer must perform the more complex or technically demanding installations of our Leksell Gamma Knife and Gamma Plan systems. Responsible for training new employees in designated modality. Transfer the required level of expertise to field based personnel to resolve technical problems. This position requires extensive travel. This position warrants the highest level of professional representation between the customer and the company in all aspects of the customer relations. It also warrants the undivided support of projects, programs and policies established by the company, and promoting these to other employees. Independently perform complex installations on the designated modality with a 100% successful rate of diagnosing the problem. Technically supervise and instruct technicians on the proper methods and techniques to perform installation calibrations on their designated modality. Ability to transfer knowledge and experience to all field service personnel to resolve technical problems. Proper use of all standard test equipment: Multi-meter Oscilloscope, AC line analyzer, Line Resistance meter, Water phantoms, KV Divider, Service terminal Dosemeter. Be able to read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams. Instruct customer’s staff in the proper operation of the equipment. Exercise good system troubleshooting skills. Perform mandatory equipment modifications and satisfactorily complete required paperwork. Perform all system service diagnosis on Elekta products. Must have the ability to work outside their designated modality to solve technical problems. Submit timely and accurately; service reports, time sheets, expense reports film badges and other paper work as assigned. Maintained all company assets in good working condition, keep all equipment serviced and calibrated as required. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferably in Electronics, Physics or an associated discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 - 6 years field service experience on Elekta equipment or similar.
  • Must have Mechanical Theory background.
  • Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools including.
  • Ability to solder in accordance to standards and proven faultfinding skills necessary.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
  • Must be willing to travel as required and work independently.
  • Must reside within close proximity to a major airport.
  • Must be able to travel 75-90% domestically and internationally.
  • Must maintain an active driver’s license in the home state.
  • Must be able to pass Nuclear Regulatory Commission/FBI Background Check for Trusted and Reliable Certification.
