As an Installation and Repair Technician, you will be responsible for getting our New Jersey customers connected to America's fastest and most reliable network. This role involves being out and about in the neighborhoods we serve, installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of customers connected. Your responsibilities will include connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, inside wiring, and wires at poles, underground, or building terminals. You will also be involved in placing, removing, or repairing copper wiring, fiber optic, or cable between poles and buildings, performing splicing operations in connection with installing, rearranging, and repairing plant facilities, and installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology. Additionally, you will be required to read and interpret engineering plans and vendor specifications, climb ladders, work aloft, perceive differences in wire and cable colors, and move/lift items generally not exceeding 100 lbs. The role may require working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.
