The Install Technician position at Stanley Access Technologies involves performing installation or service work in a profitable and proper manner, maintaining accurate work records, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
  • Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
  • Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
  • Ability to sit while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours.
  • Ability to stand on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and twist spine occasionally.
  • Vision not limited to near, far or colors.
  • Ability to work in various climates.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in related electrical, mechanical, industrial field.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field.
  • Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints.
  • AAADM Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner.
  • Record productive time versus travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
  • Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
  • Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
  • Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in proper manner.
  • Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
  • Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
  • Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
  • Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.
