About The Position

Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems. The technician will travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving installation issues efficiently and effectively, installing, programming, and configuring commercial electronic security systems, supervising Installation Technician I’s, running electrical wiring, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of field experience in the electronic security industry installing and troubleshooting access control, video management and intrusion detection solutions.
• Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle.
• Possession of state specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet.
• Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users.

Nice To Haves

• Highly skilled in the electronic security industry.
• Manufacture Certifications with any of the following: Software House, CCURE, Genetec, Lenel, S2, AMAG, Brivo, Avigilon, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP.

Responsibilities

• Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
• Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients.
• Supervise Installation Technician I’s on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager.
• Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
• Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation.
