In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the precise installation of liftgates and related equipment onto truck and trailer chassis,livering high-quality results that meet customer specifications and safety standards.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience installing truck equipment and liftgates, including electrical wiring to specifications.
- Proficient in mechanical, welding, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions.
- Skilled in GMAW welding (2G, 3G, 4G) and familiar with torch and plasma cutting methods.
- Physically capable of performing installation tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating a sit-down forklift.
Responsibilities
- Install liftgates onto truck and trailer chassis according to customer specifications and SOPs.
- Perform welding, electrical wiring, and hydraulic system installations on equipment.
- Install and wire lighting, power take-offs, pumps, and accessories as required.
- Conduct functional and quality control testing of completed installations.
- Interpret and follow installation drawings and instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
