About The Position

Let’s just get this out of the way. If you’re looking for a structured role with everything already figured out, this isn’t it. If you want to step into a system that just needs managing, this isn’t it either. But if you’ve been in the install business and have ever thought, “If I could build this the right way, I know exactly how I’d do it,” then you should keep reading. We’re Cassity Jones Building Materials—an employee-owned building materials company that’s been around for over 75 years. We’re a boots and jeans company. No fluff, no corporate layers. We take care of builders, and we take pride in doing things the right way. Now we’re ready to take the next step—launching installed services in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, starting with windows and exterior doors. This role is about building that from scratch. You’ll develop a subcontractor network, work with our sales team to offer install to our builder customers, help us figure out how to price work the right way, and make sure jobs actually get done the way they’re supposed to. Some days you’ll be talking through jobs with builders, other days you’ll be solving problems in the field or making sure we’re not losing money on something we didn’t see coming. There won’t be a perfect system on day one—that’s what you’re here to help build. There will be pressure in this role. Install comes with hidden costs, tight timelines, and real consequences if things go wrong. That’s exactly why we need someone who understands how this business works—not just on paper, but in the field. Someone who has worked with crews or subcontractors, knows where jobs go sideways, and takes pride in delivering a great experience to the customer. You need to be organized, communicate well, and think through job costs so we protect margin. More than anything, you need to be a self-starter who takes ownership and makes things happen. Fit matters here. Our values are Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Performance, and Community Stewardship, and we actually operate that way. We’re looking for someone who works hard, does what they say they’re going to do, and wants to be part of a team. This is a pilot program. The goal is simple—build it, prove it works, and help us scale it across the company. If we get this right, installed services becomes a meaningful part of our business—and this role grows with it. This isn’t for everyone. But if you know the install business and want to build something the right way, we should talk.
