About The Position

Supervise students in the cafeteria and designated eating areas. Help the cafeteria staff as needed. Assist in cleaning the cafeteria after lunch has been served. Help with other supervision duties as assigned by the building administration. School crossing guard portion provides for the safe movement of children to and from a school building. School crossing guards escort students with the aid of traffic control signals, or by walking them safely across the roadway when there are gaps in the flow of traffic. The crossing guard follows directives of the building Principals and the Director of Social and Student Services. The Crossing Guards will follow established traffic safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; AND Have one of the following or willing to obtain to be highly qualified:
Two-year college degree
Passed ParaPro Assessment
48 credit hours of college level classes
Childhood Development Associate certificate (CDA)
Kokomo School Corporation Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification
