MSU College of Nursing invites applications for our full-time, fixed term, academic year (9 months) teaching faculty positions. The duty period for these positions will be August 16th through May 15th of each year with the possibility of teaching in the summer. The positions primary responsibility in the College of Nursing is teaching in the classroom, clinical and/or distance education. Teaching assignments may include BSN, MSN, and DNP programs, depending on the applicant's qualifications. Classes and clinical assignments are in East Lansing and a variety of mid- and south Michigan locations. Distance education strategies are also employed. Individuals in all clinical specialties are encouraged to apply. In the College of Nursing, we believe Inclusive Excellence and Health and Community Engagement are central to all the work that we do.   • Teach in the classroom, clinical, and/or distance education settings.
  • Develop and implement course materials for BSN, MSN, and DNP programs.
  • Engage in inclusive practices that promote health equity.
  • Create an environment that encourages a sense of belonging and inclusive learning.
  • Champion inclusive practices and initiatives within nursing education.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or related field.
  • Master's degree in Nursing required for the rank of Instructor.
  • DNP or PhD in Nursing or related field required for the rank of Assistant and Associate Professor.
  • Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in specialty area.
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience.
  • Previous teaching experience is required.
  • Remote-friendly work environment.
  • Full-time position (90-100%).
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
