About The Position

ARC Private Provider Services, part of Milrose Consultants, LLC, is Florida’s go-to expert for fast, reliable building code compliance. We specialize in private plan review and inspection services that help developers, architects, and contractors accelerate timelines and avoid costly delays—without compromising quality. With concierge-level service and deep regulatory expertise, ARC ensures projects stay on track and clients remain confident from start to finish. ARC Private Provider Services is proactively building a pipeline of experienced, certified inspectors in Broward County to support anticipated future inspection demand under Florida’s Private Provider program. While immediate inspection assignments may not be available at the time of application, we are actively identifying qualified inspectors interested in future project-based inspection opportunities as permitted work becomes available. Inspectors engaged through this opportunity serve in a statutory capacity pursuant to Florida law and are compensated on a per‑inspection basis. This is not a full-time or part-time employment role; rather, it is a statutory position that offers flexibility and competitive compensation, with inspection assignments offered based on project approvals, certification(s), availability, and jurisdictional requirements. Compensation typically ranges from $75 to $100 per inspection, commensurate with experience. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Miramar, Sunrise, Deerfield Beach, Davie, Margate, and Weston.

Requirements

  • Active BIN # (Building Inspector Number) issued by the State of Florida.
  • Certification and experience in at least one of the following trades: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering or MEP Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) AND a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes (Florida Building Code, NFPA-70, Plumbing/Mechanical Codes).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the designated counties.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-trade certifications.
  • Experience with private provider inspections.
  • Familiarity with permit databases and digital reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections for Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in residential and commercial structures.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Building Code, County and City ordinances, and applicable trade codes.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and contractors to explain code requirements and inspection outcomes.
  • Organize and manage daily inspection routes efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and submit inspection reports.
  • Update inspection results in permit databases and stay current on code changes through independent research.
