As an Inspector, you’ll be part of our Metals Plant team located in Chesterfield, MI. You’ll get to: Approves initial part for start-up using various measuring equipment and techniques. Gathers and reports SPC information during production run. Completes various inspection reports. Audits production parts to ensure parts meet acceptable criteria. Notifies appropriate personnel of any deviation from established part parameters. May be required to verify that raw material meets specifications. May be required to do sample layouts. May be required to perform physical property testing. Produces visual inspection aids for production floor. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read instructions and maintenance of inspection equipment, and maintenance and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work.
  • Ability to read and write to follow quality and related instructions.
  • Obtain a Hilo license within the probationary period.
  • Practical application of fractions, percentages, ration and proportion, logarithms, slide rule, practical algebra, geometric construction, and essentials of trigonometry
