The Inspector inspects and tests machined and fabricated parts for defects, wear, and deviations from customer specifications. Use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks. Partner with various operations (machining, forging and heat treating) to inspect parts and dies using a wide range of gauges and inspection devices. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications Record inspection or test data and quantities inspected Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results Performs all other duties as assigned. Must be able to learn and follow company procedures and work instructions. Maintains a safe and organized workstation; follows all company policies and procedures. Minimum of one year working in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of one year inspection experience using various inspection devices such as; CMM, Blue Light, gauges (calipers micrometers, etc.) and/or hardness testers . Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
