We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inspector to support inbound material operations. This role involves inspecting, grading, and directing incoming scrap metal while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Prior experience in metals preferred
• Ability to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Must wear all necessary PPE while working or while in the yard.
• Follows company safety standards at all times.
• Failure to follow standards may result in loss of position.

Responsibilities

• Direct and inspect inbound scrap metal to the facility
• Identify and grade inbound scrap materials
• Reject unacceptable items and ensure quality standards are met
• Direct customers in traffic flow and proper unloading areas
• Complete inspection tickets and provide to customers
• Obtain customer signatures on appropriate material certificates
• Maintain good working relationships with customers
• Operate yard equipment as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
