About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing parts to ensure that they meet dimensional and functional specifications. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for inspecting and testing parts to ensure that they meet dimensional and functional specifications. Complete inspection reports using the Levels of Inspection or CRM Report computer software. Process parts by creating a Non-Conforming Report for parts that have been determined to be defective, incomplete or incorrect. Assist with First Article Inspections as needed. Look for trends in recurring defects for all inspected parts. Utilize 5S practices (sort, straighten, clean, organize, and sustain the inspection workspace). Assist with non-conforming projects (clarifications) as needed. Work as a liaison between Quality and Production (Receiving and Packaging Departments when needed). Include suggestions on packaging/kitting when noticing that a part could benefit from it. Perform special assignments on occasion. Warehouse work. Computer usage at the desk. Moves between office, warehouse, production, and inspection areas to perform tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Self-starter.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary TVH application programs).
  • Proficiency with measuring tools (digital calipers, micrometers, etc.) and reading an inch/metric tape measure.
  • Read and comprehend machine/technical drawings.
  • Keen organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management
  • Must be fluent in reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is required.
  • Possibly lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity and technical ability to assemble/disassemble part assemblies.
