There are no limits to where you can take your career.Job SummaryResponsible for the verification of product characteristics and associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records, utilizing a range of inspection techniques and methods including, but not limited to visual, mechanicals, automated, contact and non-contact. This responsibility will be discharged under the authority delegated by quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in inspection methods and techniques and following relevant work instructions.
  • 1+ years of experience with AS9100 series requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience working with LEAN processes and practices.

  • Experience in an Aerospace operating environment
  • Apprenticeship, Associate’s Degree in a technical subject or equivalent.
  • Awareness of AS9100 series requirements.
  • Previous delegated product acceptance authority granted by an Aerospace OEM or regulatory authority.
  • CMM operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are followed.
  • Responsible for performing inspection processes as described by the product work instructions and/or other directions.
  • Responsible for performing first article inspections in line with site operating policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Responsible for execution customer and regulatory delegated inspection processes as authorized by those parties. Responsible for maintaining those delegated authorities once granted.
  • Support root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances
  • Responsible for inspecting machined parts using precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Capable of reading blueprints and utilizing GD&T
