The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking Inspectors to join our Construction Management Unit in various boroughs. The successful candidates will report to an Engineer-In-Charge and/or Resident Engineer and conduct technical inspections of construction, repair, and maintenance projects. These projects will involve roadways, sewers, pavements, and sidewalks. Specific responsibilities include assessing the grading, paving, and repaving of streets, connections to house sewers, retaining walls, and the maintenance of water, sewer, and utility manholes. Applicants must be ACI Concrete Field -Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified or take the first available DDC - offered training session. Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. NYC Department of Design and Construction does not provide sponsorship for international employees for visa applications, extensions, or status changes, including STEM/OPT visas.
