About The Position

Techno is seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to join our construction oversight team. This role is essential to ensure that all on-site work meets the quality standards and specifications established by the project. You will work closely with contractors and project team members to uphold quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout the project. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process

Requirements

  • Prior experience in civil construction inspection and materials testing.
  • NICET level II, III, or IV certification is required.
  • Proficiency with digital reporting tools or construction management systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with NJTA projects is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction materials and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications and drawings.
  • Document daily site activity, including labor counts, equipment usage, and construction progress using the project’s construction management platform.
  • Submit detailed daily inspection reports and maintain organized field records.
  • Conduct on-site material testing to confirm adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor construction activities for safety compliance and traffic control implementation.
  • Track installed quantities and associated costs and prepare weekly quantity summaries.
  • Attend project meetings and provide field updates and technical input as needed.
