What You’ll Do: As a McElroy Inspector, you’ll use your technical skills and attention to detail to verify that parts and assemblies meet defined quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and part specifications Inspecting machined parts and components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges Verifying first-article inspections against blueprint and job specifications Operating inspection and testing equipment, including harness testers, digital height gauges, and surface testers Documenting nonconforming parts and maintaining accurate quality records Partnering with engineers, machinists, and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and resolve quality issues Helping uphold McElroy’s reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality products Work Locations & Travel: McElroy has four inspection areas: Admiral Facility – Component production Fulton & Broken Arrow Facilities – Component production, Final assembly, and shipping Mingo Facility – Large-diameter product assembly and shipping Inspectors may rotate between facilities during the day or be assigned to a single location, depending on operational needs. Available Shifts: We currently have one opening: 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM What We’re Looking For: Experience & Skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to read micrometers and calipers to .001-inch accuracy Experience analyzing and comparing measurements to blueprints and job specifications Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings Effective verbal communication skills Why McElroy?
