Work Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Job Description: The Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, putting away material.
Requirements
- High school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred
- Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
- Basic mechanical skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
- Ability to use inspection equipment ex: calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator)
- Ability to participate in minor data entry
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to read a blue print
- Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
- Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.
- Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.
- Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.
Responsibilities
- Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents
- Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components
- Match all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepancies
- Complete receiving transactions in the ERP System the day components are received
- Place all components and raw material in assigned locations
- Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)
- Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and fork lifts to unload trucks
- All other duties as assigned by management
