Work Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Job Description: The Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, putting away material.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred
  • Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
  • Ability to use inspection equipment ex: calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator)
  • Ability to participate in minor data entry
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to read a blue print
  • Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.
  • Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.
  • Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents
  • Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components
  • Match all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepancies
  • Complete receiving transactions in the ERP System the day components are received
  • Place all components and raw material in assigned locations
  • Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)
  • Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and fork lifts to unload trucks
  • All other duties as assigned by management
