The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for performing final inspections of PDC drill bits and downhole tools ensuring compliance with drawing specifications. This role involves conducting dimensional and visual inspections, verifying shop travelers, and ensuring that all vendor-supplied and in-house machined parts meet company standards. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools. Perform final inspection on newly built and repaired products to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct dimensional and visual inspections with close attention to detail. Conduct NDT inspections with the use of Liquid Penetrant method, interpreting and reporting inspection results. Verify that shop travelers are complete and accurate before finalizing production processes. Perform in-process inspections of in-house machined parts. Conduct receiving inspections of vendor-supplied parts, tools, and raw materials. Maintain continuity of documentation for in-house and vendor-manufactured products. Detect and control nonconforming product to ensure quality standards are met. Use and accurately read monitoring and measuring equipment (MMEs) such as OD ring gauges, thread lead and profile gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Conduct final cleanup of products using air tools, impact wrenches, and other hand tools. Carry out other quality-related duties as required.
