EEO/M/F/D/V INSPECTOR-QRC-Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for controlling the movement of defective material produced at designated work centers and advising machinists and management of quality deficiencies. Will interact with Manufacturing Engineering to develop a dimensional inspection plan for complex and problem parts. Will be highly trained in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and drawing interpretation and be able to determine which measuring equipment will produce the most consistent results. Creation, management, and distribution of inspection reports. Management of our quality database. Will also be required to clean, repair, and calibrate precision measuring tools. Other duties to be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with advanced math skills
  • Must be well organized and have good communications skills-both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to interpret complex drawings
  • Must have experience using precision measuring equipment such as ID, OD & depth micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and digital height gages.
  • Advanced machining background
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Must work well as a team player
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years’ experience as an inspector
  • Experience in operating CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • Experience with reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experience with repair and calibration of measuring tools
