About The Position

A Rail Products Company in Sand Springs is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to inspect and package heat-forged rail track spikes according to customer and industry standards. The Inspector/Packer will split time evenly between inspection and packaging duties, rotating on a formal schedule. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to maintaining quality and consistency in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of measurement tools and gauges.
• Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided).
• Strong work ethic and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Visually examine forged spikes for surface defects, including cracks, pits, laps, discoloration, excessive scale, or deformation.
• Use fixed or preset gauges to verify spike dimensions and head shape.
• Monitor conveyor line to prevent or clear jams and maintain steady production flow.
• Operate automated filler equipment, ensuring each container meets proper weight requirements.
• Adjust and calibrate load scales as necessary.
• Manually position and transfer filled containers to pallets.
• Label containers with product information and maintain accurate production records.
• Occasionally operate a forklift to move palletized kegs to the dock, shrink-wrap station, or temporary storage areas.
