About The Position

Inspector/Packer must be able to perform at an entry level to visually inspect parts to ensure they are good and to efficiently arrange quality parts into packaging materials and into boxes to be shipped to customers. Must be able to read work orders to verify parts to be packaged and packing materials. Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, shift availalbe 7:30am -4:00pm Benefits for Full Time Employees: Salary Range: $17.40/hr - $18.89/hr dependant on expereince Medical, Dental and Vison insurance 401(k) plan with Employer Match Paid Vacation Paid Sick Time Employee Assistance Program

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with three to six months related experience.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
Strong visual analysis abilities.
Must have basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software/programs.
Basic Math Skills are required.
Must be able to pull, push and lift up to 35 lbs. and sit or stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Read work order to verify parts to be packaged and packing materials
Follow appropriate work instructions
Analyze parts visually to ensure there are no unconformities
Meet the required efficiency rates to ensure on time shipping
Set up scale & Run ship list
Clock on and clock off each work order
Print labels and label product for shipping purposes including internal labels
Knock down box – assemble/breakdown box.
Recycle rejected materials in appropriate containers.
Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary
Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified
Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
