About the position

The position involves various tasks related to the packaging and quality control of products. Employees will read packaging documents to determine product specifications and observe machine operations to ensure that products meet quality standards. Responsibilities include removing finished packaged items from machines, separating rejected items, and addressing machine malfunctions. The role also requires stocking and sorting products for packaging, inspecting for defects, and preparing raw products for processing. Additionally, employees will monitor the production line for hazards and issues, record operational data, and perform final inspections of products before packaging them for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read packaging documents to determine product specifications.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
  • Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Stock and sort products for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Clean and remove damaged or inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing.
  • Monitor the production line for problems such as hazards, pile-ups, and product jams.
  • Stack finished packaged items, wrap protective material around each item, and pack items in cartons or containers.
  • Record operational data such as finished and rejected packaged items.
  • Package the product in the form in which it will be sent out.
  • Assemble corrugated shipping containers, trays, and boxes.
  • Perform final inspection of product.
