Responsibilities

  • Accurately fills out Lot History Records and other quality records such as, NCMR’s, and deviations
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Uses drawings and inspection criteria to inspect all product (receiving, in process, raw material, and/or finished product) to ensure dimensions are to print/specifications.
  • Uses micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, electrical indicators, automated inspection equipment (CMM's/Vision Systems), and other mechanical measuring devices.
  • Uses both English and metric standards measurements.
  • Accepts or rejects product.
  • Communicates questionable product and/or non-conforming product to supervision or Quality Engineer for their review.
  • Checks all gages prior to use in inspection.
  • Enters dimensional and cosmetic data into the Quality Reporting Management System.
  • Performs inspections using the applicable “First in First Out-FIFO” system established by the Supervisor.
  • Performs Product Release, COS & Cell inspection as needed
  • Understands and utilizes cosmetic inspection criteria for product acceptability.
  • Assists in solving problems, quality issues, and creating or updating Work Instructions
  • May run certain reports and relay metrics and inspection concerns to Management.
  • Performs Functional Tests using all specialized equipment, including the CMM.
